課程概述

Genome science has been one of the most blooming sciences in the past decade. The complete genome sequences of the dicot model plant, Arabidopsis, and of the monocot crops such as rice, sorghum and maize are released. In addition, many crops and plants are undergone sequencing. The genomic information provides various research methodologies and speeds up traditional researches. This course will emphasize on genetic mapping, physical mapping, and genome sequencing and annotating to dissect plant genomes. Consequently, this course will introduce the applications of genomics in positional cloning, gene expression, comparative mapping, genetic variation and so on.
